For a while now, I've been chipping away I've been working on a personal project based around an idea for a Batman movie. The Batman movie I'll probably never get to see.
In the story, Hugo Strange wants to see how far Batman can be pushed before his psyche snaps entirely. He traps Batman in Arkham while releasing all the inmates. To intensify things further, he unleashes an experimental contagion infecting everyone in Arkham including Batman. The results vary drastically from person to person and Strange sits back to watch his greatest experiment come to life.
Being a fan of body horror, I wanted to show a physical effect on the inmates through their eyes. However, I needed to balance it as I wanted it to look haunting but not to the point of 'zombie horror infected'. These concepts allowed me to experiment and see how far I can play with the idea before it looked too over the top.
